The name Serpenti is used everywhere in Bulgari. Since the late 1960s, the Italian jeweler has created new iterations of classic bracelet watches over and over again, each offering something different from the previous one. The big novelty of this year is the Serpenti Spiga, which essentially has the same design as the traditional Serpenti Scaglie (introduced in 2009) with a new bracelet design.

Spiga, which means “wheat”, was first released in 2014 with a black ceramic bracelet with a wavy pattern. The organic pattern became a hit, and this time Bulgari returned with a precious metal bracelet with cross-hatching and precious stones. The watch is available in a rose gold case with a white pearl dial and a rose gold case with a black diamond dial. All new items are equipped with quartz movements.

It’s nice to see how Bulgari continues to innovate and improve its collections, whether Serpenti or Octo. The new hatching makes the bracelet really look like scales. The new Spiga collection will undoubtedly be a hit and will serve as a golden mean between Tubogas and the more complex enamel Serpenti.
