New items in the Omega Constellation collection

The Constellation collection has long been a symbol of Omega precision in watchmaking. The company, whose name is dedicated to the cluster of stars, strives to raise the level of its watches, emphasizing their elegance and high class. This year Constellation is taking the next step in design and technology. The Constellation collection has been updated with 101 new items. The basic design features have been preserved, but the new watch still has some minor changes. The watch has been given a more expressive appearance, retaining the “Manhattan” style, which has been a favorite for more than 36 years.

The Omega Constellation 2018 collection is available in three sizes – 25 mm, 28 mm and 29 mm. The first two models use the Omega 4061 caliber, while the 29 mm diameter versions use the Omega Master Chronometer 8700/8701 mechanism. This caliber has passed 8 rigorous tests that every certified Master Chronometer watch is subjected to before leaving the factory.

The watch is available in 18k Sedna™ rose gold, 18k yellow gold, stainless steel, or two-color versions. The new dials are available in blue, brown, gray, gold, silver and white colors.

The changes include: A new matte finish, polished beveled edges along the case and bracelet, a new slim bezel, and more sophisticated Roman numerals that are now in an upright position for reading. The new side arches have a more refined shape and polished bevels. The crown has the shape of a crescent-shaped facet. The leaf-shaped hands on the dial are skeletonized, the hour indexes are inspired by the landscapes of Manhattan. The dial is covered with sapphire crystal.

The collection uses two different types of bracelets. Quartz models have a similar bracelet for Constellation ’09, while the 29 mm Master Chronometer models have received a more luxurious version. The new Constellation “Manhattan” bracelet has polished middle links. The 29mm models have a clear sapphire crystal on the back cover. In the 25 mm and 28 mm models, the back cover is decorated with a relief medallion with an image of the observatory.
