  • Insurance of the pledge — every piece is insured from the moment we take it in, for its full appraised value, at the pawnshop’s expense and in your favor. It is not a perk but a requirement of Federal Law 196-FZ, and we meet it.
  • A licensed pawnshop listed on the state register of the Bank of Russia.
  • A contract under Federal Law 196-FZ — a pawn ticket stating the appraised value, the loan amount, the rate and the term. No hidden fees.
  • Storage in a safe. Individual boxes, no mixing of different clients’ pieces, security staff and CCTV.
  • Complete confidentiality (your data is never passed to third parties).

Why owners of fine jewelry trust us

Why owners of fine jewelry trust us

Why owners of fine jewelry trust us

  • We appraise the piece, not the scrap. An ordinary pawnshop counts grams and deducts the stones from the weight. We value the metal, the stones and the brand separately, then add them up.
  • A gemologist on staff. Diamonds and colored stones are graded by a specialist, not by a general appraiser.
  • We work with branded pieces: Cartier, Van Cleef & Arpels, Tiffany & Co., Bvlgari, Graff and others — pieces from these houses are valued with their collection and secondary-market demand in mind.
  • Individual terms. No cap on amounts, a personal manager and a private meeting room.
valuation

The loan is based on the value of the piece, not on the weight of the gold

We check precious metal quotes daily and appraise at the price of the day you come in. But the metal is only part of the figure: diamonds and colored stones are valued separately on their own characteristics, and pieces from the great jewelry houses carry a brand premium on top. That is why a loan against branded jewelry here and at an ordinary cash-for-gold shop differ by multiples, not by a few percent.

Pawning a piece of jewelry: four simple steps

1. Request Send a request online or call us. The preliminary appraisal from photos is free — send the whole piece, a close-up of the stone and the hallmark.
2. Appraisal Our appraiser examines the piece under a microscope, confirms the brand is genuine and establishes its market value. The stones are graded by a gemologist. It all happens at the table in the meeting room, in front of you.
3. Agreement We name the appraised value, the loan amount, the rate and the term. We show how the figure adds up: metal, stones, brand. You decide, with no pressure.
4. Getting your cash We sign the pawn ticket and you receive your cash. The piece goes into a tamper-evident bag together with the inventory and is placed in an insured safe.

we helped

A deal that could not wait

A deal that could not wait
Situation

A business owner needed funds to close a property deal: the bank wanted two weeks for approval — time they did not have.

Solution

We arranged a loan against a diamond Graff pendant on the day the client came in. The appraisal took 30 minutes, and the cash was handed over as soon as the papers were signed.

Result

The deal closed on time, and the piece was redeemed three weeks later.

A loan instead of a sale

A loan instead of a sale
Situation

The client needed money but did not want to part with a favorite ring.

Solution

A two-month loan with the option to extend. The ring was kept in an individual box, and the inventory listing the stone’s characteristics was drawn up in the client’s presence.

Result

Six weeks later the ring was redeemed and came back to its owner exactly as it had been handed in.

Confidentiality above all

Confidentiality above all
Situation

The client needed funds without attracting attention: no certificates, no explanations to an employer, no trace in bank statements.

Solution

The transaction took place in a private meeting room, was documented against a passport and paid out in cash. No data was passed to third parties.

Result

Confidentiality was preserved, and the client came back again.

The piece nobody valued properly

The piece nobody valued properly
Situation

The client had been to several pawnshops with a Bvlgari pendant: every one of them counted the weight of the gold and ignored the brand. The sums offered were several times below what the piece was really worth.

Solution

Our gemologist graded the stones separately, and our appraiser pulled reference sales of the collection on the secondary market over the previous six months.

Result

The loan came out several times higher than the offers from general pawnshops. The piece was redeemed on time.

A returning client

Situation

The client treats jewelry-backed loans as a working financial tool rather than an emergency measure, and comes to us regularly.

Solution

Personal terms for a regular client, a streamlined procedure for pieces we already know, and priority handling of requests.

Result

The pieces always go back to their owner.

What our clients say

Frequently asked questions about jewelry-backed loans

How much can I borrow against a gold ring?
It depends on what is actually in the ring. If it holds a diamond or carries a brand name, the value of the stone and the brand premium are added to the value of the metal, and the sum comes out several times higher than the metal alone. We will name the exact figure after a free appraisal, or give you a preliminary one from photos.
What interest does a pawnshop charge on jewelry?
The rate is set individually, based on the type of piece, the loan amount and the term; there is no standard tariff. Interest accrues at the agreed rate, with no hidden fees. We quote the rate after the free appraisal and before anything is signed.
Can I pawn a piece of jewelry without any paperwork?
Yes. Your passport is all we need — paperwork for the piece is not required. That said, the documents, the receipt and a certificate for the stone will raise the amount you can borrow.
Do you appraise the diamonds in a piece, or only the metal?
We do. Stones from 0.1 carat are examined by a gemologist using a microscope, a UV chamber and an ALROSA Diamond detector. This is the key difference from an ordinary cash-for-gold shop, where stones are deducted from the weight and paid nothing for.
How can I be sure I get back the same piece and not a similar one?
We draw up an inventory on intake: an individual serial number and the distinguishing features of the piece. In front of you it is sealed into its own tamper-evident bag and kept in a safe under CCTV.
What happens to my piece if I do not redeem it in time?
Once the term ends, a one-month grace period begins: during it the piece cannot be sold, and you may either redeem it or extend the contract. Throughout that time the piece stays in an insured safe. If it is not redeemed and the contract is not extended, it is sold to cover the loan. Returning the piece to its owner is always the priority — we remind you of the deadlines in advance.
Can the term of the loan be extended?
Yes, the contract can be extended, more than once if needed. To extend it you simply pay the interest accrued.
Can I redeem my piece early?
Yes. The interest and the repayment terms are set out in the contract
How does pawning jewelry differ from selling it?
A pledge is a loan secured by your piece: you keep ownership and take the jewelry back once the debt is repaid. A buyout is a final sale: the piece becomes ours and the money is yours to keep. A buyout pays more than a pledge loan, precisely because the piece does not come back to you.
Do you accept Cartier, Van Cleef or Tiffany pieces?
Yes, and we appraise them by brand and collection, not merely by materials. The original box, tag and receipt raise the valuation, but once authenticity is confirmed we will take the piece without them.
Is my piece insured while it is pawned?
Yes — at the pawnshop’s expense and in your favor, for the full appraised value, from the moment we take the piece in. It is a statutory requirement under Federal Law 196-FZ, and you pay nothing extra for the cover.
What documents do I need to pawn a piece?
Your passport, nothing else. No income statements, no guarantors and no additional collateral are required.
Is there a maximum loan amount?
No. If the piece is worth it, the loan is not capped. Large sums are paid out in cash on the day you come in.

Jewelry-backed loans: cash against your pieces without losing them

Owners of fine jewelry often need a large sum at short notice, when going to a bank is slow and inconvenient. A jewelry-backed loan from a specialist pawnshop settles it in minutes: you walk out with cash, and your piece stays in an insured safe until you redeem it. No income statements, no guarantors, no lengthy approval — your passport and the piece itself are enough.

Why a specialist pawnshop pays more for your jewelry

For the owner of a fine piece, the gap between an ordinary cash-for-gold shop and a specialist pawnshop is measured in multiples, not percentage points. A general pawnshop follows a single formula: weigh the item, check the hallmark, multiply by the price per gram. Stones are deducted from the weight as “non-metal” and paid nothing for, and the brand is ignored entirely — by that arithmetic a Cartier ring with a diamond and an unbranded ring of the same weight are worth exactly the same.

A specialist pawnshop does the sums differently. The metal is valued by net weight and hallmark, the stones are graded by a gemologist for carat weight, color, clarity and quality of cut, and pieces from the great jewelry houses earn a brand premium set by demand on the secondary market. For a ring with a stone of half a carat or more, or for a piece from a current Van Cleef & Arpels collection, that turns into a loan several times larger.

What determines the size of a jewelry-backed loan

The final figure is made up of several parts. The first is the metal: what counts is not the gross weight of the piece but the net weight, once the stones and solder are deducted. The second is the stones: diamonds are graded by carat weight, color, clarity and cut, colored stones by origin and by any treatment. Between VS1 and SI2 at the same carat weight the price can differ by tens of percent.

The third part is the brand and the collection. Cartier Love, Van Cleef Alhambra, Tiffany Setting and Bvlgari Serpenti enjoy steady demand, and that shows in the appraisal. The fourth is condition: signs of wear, the integrity of the clasps, the state of the setting, traces of repairs made with non-original alloys. The fifth is completeness: the paperwork for the piece, a GIA, MSU or MGL certificate for the stone, the boutique receipt. Finally, the figure depends on current precious metal quotes, which we check daily.

How to prepare your piece before visiting the pawnshop

A few simple steps will help you get the highest appraisal. Wipe the piece gently with a soft cloth: a dirty setting makes the stone harder to grade and makes the piece look worse than it is. Do not use abrasives or harsh cleaners — on gold they leave marks, and on some stones they damage the surface.

Gather everything you still have: the paperwork, the receipt, the warranty card, the certificate for the stone, spare bracelet links. Every part of the set raises the appraisal. If the piece belongs to a suite, bring the whole set — together it is valued higher than the items separately. And most important: choose a pawnshop where the stones are graded by a gemologist rather than weighed in by a general appraiser. The difference in the loan can be measured in multiples, not in tens of percent.

Pawning jewelry is not selling it

The fundamental difference between a pledge and a sale is that ownership stays with you. When the contract expires — or at any point before that — you repay the loan with interest and take the piece back in the same condition in which you handed it in. Early redemption is possible, and the interest is agreed when the contract is signed.

If your circumstances change and you no longer plan to redeem the piece, you can simply let the contract lapse — it creates no further obligations for you.
