Bvlgari Rainbow and Colour Wave Serpenti

The luxury Serpenti watch is an iconic model for Bvlgari. The Serpenti watch collection, inspired by Greek and Roman mythology and featuring a snake, has become a cornerstone of the Roman brand’s legacy. This was reflected in the brand’s transition from luxurious and detailed jewelry to watches for women who care about style in the mid-1900s.

Bvlgari continues to develop the collection, adding several bright inclusions – Bvlgari Serpenti Viper and Bvlgari Serpenti Incantati. These new interpretations, which have become world famous thanks to the art of cutting and fixing precious stones, are far from the first Bvlgari watches with precious stones.

The Serpenti watch collection already boasts a rich collection of elegant and luxurious watches decorated with colored gems. The new Rainbow and Color Wave watches are a tribute to Bvlgari’s “Mai Troppo” approach to watchmaking: there are never too many gems.

Bvlgari has reinterpreted the snake symbol in many ways since the first Serpenti watches were introduced in the 1940s. The Serpenti Viper design was first released a few years ago, it is characterized by trapezoidal scales covered with multicolored gems. This year, the company has introduced three new variants of this line.

The Serpenti Incantati collection, which Bvlgari is expanding with two new models, presents the snake in a slightly different form. The whole body of this creature, decorated with precious stones, is depicted wrapped around the clock face.

Bvlgari released the Serpenti Twist watch in 2017. Their design was compatible with various color interchangeable leather straps. However, the watches from the Serpenti Seduttori collection are particularly luxurious, with bracelets encrusted with precious stones and a design in the form of a snake’s head, richly decorated with gems with pear-shaped gemstone eyes. These versions were high-end jewelry.

The most recognizable Bvlgari Serpenti watches are Tubogas models made on an innovative flexible metal bracelet that wraps around a woman’s wrist from 1 to 5 times (depending on the modification). As part of this collection, watches are presented with both an open dial and a secret one, which shows the time only after the snake’s head rises. The Tubogas bracelet’s design, which resembles a gas pipe, has been perfected for ten years.

The appeal of the Bvlgari Serpenti watch is explained by the brand’s desire to create a completely independent design, rather than a scaled-down version of the already successful men’s model. Showcasing Bvlgari’s playful and extravagant take on watchmaking, the new Rainbow and Color Wave versions from Serpenti’s charming collection convey the mystery and curiosity behind the ancient snake symbol. The 18-carat gold Viper and Incantati models are 26 mm and 33 mm in size, respectively, and they are all equipped with a quartz movement.

The Viper round clock from the Serpenti collection is presented in three new versions. A rainbow model, a cool blue version in white gold, and a warm rose gold watch with red gems. The Serpenti Viper Rainbow watch features an 18-carat rose gold case and dial with a diameter of 26 mm, made in the iconic snakehead design and encrusted with 127 round-cut diamonds. Displaying a full kaleidoscope of colors and repeating the distinct trapezoidal scales of the Viper collection, the bracelet is decorated with blue, purple, yellow, orange and pink sapphires, red rubies, orange and red round spinels, orange spessartines, yellow and green garnets, round emeralds.

The Serpenti Viper Blue Color Wave watch, made in cooler shades of Mediterranean blue and icy white, features an 18-carat white gold case and bracelet with 229 round-cut sapphires in various shades from light to dark, as well as 90 round-cut diamonds. The 18-carat white gold dial is decorated with 114 more round-cut diamonds.

The Serpenti Viper Red Color Wave watch is a warmer interpretation. The 18-carat rose gold case and bracelet are encrusted with 163 pink sapphires, red rubies and white diamonds. The rose gold dial is decorated with an additional 114 round-cut diamonds.

The Serpenti Incantati Rainbow watch’s round case in 18K yellow gold and its bracelet are encrusted with 282 round-cut diamonds. The case is also decorated with round, oval and square-cut green tsavorites, round, oval and rectangular-cut yellow-orange sapphires, mandarin garnet, orange and red spinels, red oval rubies and fancy rubies, as well as oval, round and pear-shaped sapphires in pink, blue and purple tones. The 18-carat rose gold dial is studded with another 150 white round-cut diamonds.

The Serpenti Incantati Blue Color Wave watch is made of 18-carat white gold and has a case encrusted with 282 round-cut diamonds, round and fancy-cut blue sapphires from deep dark to light colors, as well as round and unusual shaped diamonds. Finally, the bracelet is carefully encrusted with 150 round-cut white diamonds.
