This color contrast resonates with a similar combination of different textures of the materials from which the watch is made.: polished 18-karat gold Everose case and black matte Oysterflex bracelet, Cerachrom dial and dial. The Yacht-Master Oyster hull, which retains water resistance up to 100 meters, is a benchmark for durability, impeccable proportions and elegance. Its characteristically shaped body ring is made from a single block of 18-carat Everose gold, cast in Rolex’s own foundry. The fluted back cover and crown, equipped with a Triplock triple sealing system and protective protrusions made in the housing ring, are tightly screwed to the housing. The watch is equipped with a cyclopean lens at 3 o’clock, which ensures the best readability of the date. The lens glass is made of sapphire and is practically scratch-resistant. Completely waterproof, the Oyster case thus provides optimal protection for the high-precision mechanism inside it. Yacht-Masters are equipped with 2236 caliber. The movement has an automatic winding function and is fully designed and manufactured by Rolex craftsmen. Like all Perpetual movements manufactured by Rolex, the Calibre 2236 has Swiss chronometer certificates issued to watches that have been successfully tested at the Official Swiss Institute of Chronometry (COSC).
