Hublot Spirit Of Big Bang Sang Bleu King Gold And Blue Ceramic

Since 2016, Hublot has been collaborating with the famous Swiss tattoo artist Maxim Pleshia-Buchi and his company Sang Bleu. In 2023, Hublot created a series of limited edition versions of its Spirit of Big Bang watch in the shape of a barrel, imbued with the geometric design language of Sang Bleu. The new release of Hublot Spirit Of Big Bang Sang Bleu includes versions made of blue ceramic and King Gold branded alloy.

The first of the two new models, the Hublot Spirit Of Big Bang Sang Bleu Blue Ceramic (ref. 648.EX.0151.RX.MXM24), features a bright blue ceramic case, blue details on the skeletonized dial, and a matching blue rubber strap. The second model is the Hublot Spirit Of Big Bang Sang Bleu King Gold Blue (ref. 648.OX.0151.RX.MXM24), which also has blue elements on the dial and the same blue rubber strap, although its case components They are made of Hublot King Gold alloy, which is a proprietary blend of 18-carat red gold, which has a warmer shade compared to traditional rose gold alloys. Apart from the difference in body materials, the two new Spirit Of Big Bang Sang Bleu models are essentially the same in terms of design and construction, and they simply expand on the original Spirit Of Big Bang Sang Bleu models that debuted in 2023 with new color schemes and materials.

The new products Blue Ceramic and King Gold have barrel-shaped casings with a diameter of 42 mm and a thickness of 15.7 mm. The upper part of the watch is equipped with faceted sapphire glasses, which correspond to the angular lines of their cases. The reverse side shows the screw-down back covers, made of either blue ceramic or King Gold. Both models are equipped with windups framed by a set of chronograph buttons on the right side of the case. The water resistance of the new Blue Ceramic and King Gold models is the same 100 meters as other watches from the Spirit Of Big Bang Sang Bleu series.

The Hublot Spirit Of Big Bang Sang Bleu dials in blue ceramic and King Gold have an identical layout to previous models from the collection, and they are noticeably distinguished by the same style of avant-garde geometry that characterized all the brand’s collaborations with Sang Bleu. While maintaining the theme of their blue-oriented color solutions, both models feature a skeletonized dial equipped with a pair of blue chronograph registers and a corresponding blue hour scale. In addition, both models are equipped with a date aperture set on the watch ring at 4:30. The Spirit Of Big Bang Sang Bleu Blue Ceramic hands are covered with rhodium with a white font on the dial elements. The Spirit Of Big Bang Sang Bleu King Gold Blue is equipped with gold hands, and the print on the dial elements is made in an appropriate shade of rose gold to complement the warm shades of the King Gold case.

Both new Sang Bleu Spirit of Big Bang watches feature the Hublot HUB4700 automatic chronograph movement, which is based on the basic architecture of the legendary Zenith El Primero watches. Operating at an above-average frequency of 36,000 half-vibrations per hour (5 Hz) with a power reserve of about 50 hours, the HUB4700 calibre extends the concept of the El Primero watch with a skeletonized design that can be admired from both sides of the watch. The latest version of the HUB4700 has been updated with a silicon control element to ensure performance and a higher level of consistency.

Despite the different case materials, both new Hublot Spirit Of Big Bang Sang Bleu models feature the same integrated rubber strap, which has the same shape and structure as the straps found on other Spirit Of Big Bang Sang Bleu models. The straps have a two-tone, multi-layered design with a black bottom structure and a blue top clinging to its outer surface.
