42.5 mm – Steel – Manual winding

The Duometre Quantieme Lunaire watch in a vintage steel case with a gradient blue dial and an alligator leather strap with fine trim is a stylish example of the Duomètre concept. Divided into sectors, the dial is decorated with a variety of finishes: opaline (top), satin (center of the scales), circular blue (around the scales) and “sun rays” (power reserve). On the back of the case of this watch with complications, you can see the caliber 381 with two reels — one is responsible for indicating the time, the second for complications. Through the case cover, you can see how its exquisitely decorated details move: “sun rays”, “Geneva waves”, rounded bridges, blue screws…

A revolutionary approach to precision

A fascinating new interpretation of the watch Quantieme Lunaire. This is the first Duometre model in a steel case. The eye-catching blue dial and new case give their timeless, recognizable design a vibrant and modern flair.

The essence of ingenuity

In 2007, the patented Duometre mechanism was introduced: two drums and two separate wheel systems connected to a single control body. One wheel system feeds the time display, the second provides additional functions, thus ensuring an exceptionally high degree of accuracy.

A precise approach to aesthetics

It is no less important to strive for beauty than for accuracy. The dark blue dial of the Duometre Quantieme Lunaire features long and very thin hands, branded for all watches in the collection, and three symmetrically arranged subciferblades form an inverted pyramid. The scales show the time, date, and beautiful moon phase against a blue sky background.

Complex decorating techniques

The desire for precision is also evident in the finish of the mechanism, which can be viewed through the transparent back cover of the sapphire crystal case. Each bridge was alternately decorated with “Geneva waves”, so that the whole mechanism looks visually complete.

Created in our manufactory

Every component of the Jaeger‑LeCoultre watch — from the caliber to the case — is designed, assembled and manufactured under one roof, at our Manufactory in Vallee-de-Joux. We are renowned for our commitment to precision. All models of Jaeger‑LeCoultre watches are tested for “Control of 1000 hours”. This unique program includes internal certification checks that go far beyond the official timekeeping tests.

It includes testing the mechanism before and after its installation in the case, as well as throughout the watch assembly process in conditions close to the conditions of daily use. When the watch is checked for compliance with our strict standards, a quality control stamp is engraved on the back of the case.
