After the release of the limited edition platinum case watch introduced in 2017, Omega has released a new version of the Seamaster Aqua Terra Worldtimer made of stainless steel.

The 43mm case with brushed and polished surfaces is water resistant to 150 meters and comes with a stainless steel bracelet or a blue rubber strap integrated with the watch case.

The blue dial with a radiant guilloche is decorated with vertical stripes like teak wood. An updated inner ring is located on its background. On the periphery, the dial is surrounded by a ring with the names of cities indicating time zones, including the city of Bienne + 1 GMT, the home of Omega in Switzerland.

In the center of the dial is a 24-hour ring made of hesalite glass. The blue half indicates daytime, and the blue half indicates nighttime. The central image of the Earth – an overhead view of the North Pole – was obtained by laser processing a titanium plate to create a blue ocean and leave a relief of the continents. Contrasting colors of the earth’s surface are naturally obtained as a result of the chemical reaction of the laser.

Inside the case there is an automatic movement with a coaxial trigger, Caliber 8938. It has a free balance with a silicon balancing spring and provides a power reserve of 60 hours.

The movement and the watch are tested according to the Master Chronometer certification process approved by the Swiss Federal Institute of Metrology (METAS). The test criteria include: average daily accuracy of all watches, running accuracy, accuracy when the mechanism is fully wound up or near the end of the power reserve, water resistance and antimagnetic resistance against magnetic fields reaching 15,000 gauss.

The price of the Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra Worldtimer in a stainless steel case is 8,500 euros with a rubber strap (ref. 220.12.43.22.03.001) or 8,700 euros with a steel bracelet (ref. 220.10.43.22.03.001).
