NEW CUBITUS COLLECTION

Patek Philippe has expanded its extensive range of watches with a new collection that represents a unique union of boldness and elegance. The first release of the new Cubitus models (registered design) with the original square-shaped case with rounded corners and a dial with a horizontal relief pattern consists of three versions, each of which has a distinct identity.

On the occasion of the release of the new Cubitus collection, which embodies a unique combination of boldness and elegance, Patek Philippe presents a completely new model equipped with new indicators – indicators of the day of the week and moon phases and a large date indicator with instant switching.

A COMPLETELY NEW COMPLICATION IN A COMPLETELY NEW COLLECTION

Paying special attention to readability, precision and elegance, Patek Philippe has developed a new movement, the 240 PS CI J LU caliber, based on the famous ultra-thin 240 automatic winding caliber. During the development of this new mechanism, a total of six special patent applications were filed, in particular concerning the supply of energy to different indicators and their simultaneous switching every 18 milliseconds. Among other things, these innovations ensure perfectly even positioning of the digits of the large date indicator and the ability to adjust all readings at any time.

EXPRESSIVE AND EASY-TO-READ DIAL

A large date pointer is placed at 12 o’clock in a double window with a beveled relief frame. The display is carried out using two discs rotating at the same level. The coaxial indicators of the day of the week and the phases of the moon at 7 o’clock are complemented by an asymmetrical small seconds dial between 4 o’clock and 5 o’clock. The white gold “stick” shaped overhead hour markers and the rounded hour and minute hands made of white gold – also shaped like “sticks” and also with a white luminescent coating – stand out clearly against the background of the blue dial with a horizontal pattern.

MODERN DESIGN IN THE STYLE OF “CASUAL LUXURY“

The striking design of the 45 mm diagonal platinum square case with an elegant slim profile is accentuated by the contrast of polished and vertical satin finish. Like all Patek Philippe platinum watches, this model is also decorated with a baguette–cut diamond on the bezel at 6 o’clock. The modern style is accentuated by a strap made of dark blue composite material with a fabric pattern, contrasting cream-colored stitching and a platinum Cubitus folding clasp.
