For the first time, the new 41mm Royal Oak Skeleton Self—winding and Floating Tourbillon uses sand gold, a new 750-grade gold alloy that creates a rich play of light. Its shade, intermediate between white and rose gold, varies depending on the angle of view and lighting.
IMPECCABLE CRAFTSMANSHIP
To match the case and bracelet made of a new gold alloy, Audemars Piguet has carefully selected electroplating of skeletonized bridges and platinum Caliber 2972, the multilevel architecture of which is in the spotlight when viewed from both sides of the watch.

This new color comes in subtle contrast with the shade of the rhodium coating on the details of the mechanism, creating a unique volumetric effect. As a result, a harmonious unity of technical complexity and modern design is formed.
Sand gold, with its delicate color nuances that manifest themselves depending on the lighting, demonstrates the high durability of a durable and timeless material.

THREE-DIMENSIONAL
ARCHITECTURE
The caliber 2972, first released for the 50th anniversary of Royal Oak in 2022, combines an automatic winding with a floating tourbillon. The original stylized multilevel architecture of the skeleton creates a unique volumetric effect of symmetry in it. To demonstrate the beauty and sophistication of the movement, opening it to the passage of light, the maximum amount of material allowed from the point of view of preserving the functionality of the watch was removed from the platinum and bridges.
