Breguet Reine de Naples 8938

There are not many symbolic watches dedicated entirely to women, but Breguet Reine de Naples is one of them. Named after Caroline Murat, the younger sister of Napoleon I of France and Queen of Naples (Reine de Naples in French), they pay homage to the watches designed by Abraham-Louis Breguet, which have a certain historical significance, and are considered the first women’s wristwatches. Their body is recognizable due to its oval shape. The brand has created many watches under this name, and today it presents a new pair of Breguet Reine de Naples 8938 watches with exquisite aesthetics, in an elegant white diamond frame.

Available in white gold with a blue strap or in rose gold with an orange strap, the new additions to the Reine de Naples collection are based on the company’s oval case, in this case a fairly large size of 36.5 x 28.45 x 10.05 mm. These new 8938 models, made in a classic style, with a finely fluted side of the case, are mainly distinguished by a rich diamond inlay. The bezel, flange, dial and case ears are encrusted with 161 round-cut diamonds (with a total weight of about 1.82 carats), and the crown is decorated with a rare briolet diamond. In total, this precious watch is decorated with more than three carats of diamonds.

For the dial of these new Breguet Reine de Naples 8938, the brand has chosen a special technique called “snow paver”. It is much more difficult to perform than the traditional concentric fastening, since it uses stones of different sizes to cover the dial, thereby reducing the visibility of the material on which they are mounted to a minimum. This random arrangement of the stones results in an unsurpassed brilliance.

The dial of the Reine de Naples 8938 is decorated with a natural white mother-of-pearl hour section offset from the center to 6 o’clock with classic Breguet numerals and blued hands with Breguet apples. The sapphire back cover hides a real Breguet movement, Caliber 537/3 self-winding, equipped with a silicon trigger wheel, a longitudinal Swiss lever and a balance spring. This mechanism, operating at a frequency of 3.5 Hz, boasts a 45-hour power reserve. New items from the Breguet Reine de Naples 8938 collection can be purchased in boutiques and retail stores.
