This year, love takes on a whole new meaning. Less than a month before Valentine’s Day, the Breguet manufactory presents a special series of much-coveted watches, the Reine De Naples Coeur 9825 Heart Edition, a limited edition of 28 copies exclusively available in selected Breguet boutiques.

The Breguet Reine De Naples Coeur 9825 Heart Edition is presented in an oval case with a diameter of 36.5 mm in 18K rose gold with an elegant alligator leather strap. The bezel and the flange of the watch face are decorated with 128 white diamonds with a total weight of about 0.77 carats. A ruby-cut cabochon crown (about 0.25 carats) and a red alligator leather strap with a triple folding clasp decorated with 28 diamonds (weighing about 0.17 carats) emphasize the luxurious look of the novelty.

The Breguet Reine De Naples Coeur 9825 Heart Edition features an extremely sophisticated mechanism protected by four patents. The magic of this innovative mechanism changes the shape of the heart-shaped minute hand, offset from the center at 6 o’clock, depending on its position on the oval dial. Its curves stretch as the hand moves across the top half of the dial, and become more rounded at the bottom. This is achieved by two independent levers capable of rotating thanks to an original set of gears. Equipped with an oval-shaped cam that follows the characteristic curves of the Reine de Naples, the mechanism allows each of these levers to move at a different speed.

As for the dial, the strict sapphire crystal dial, covered with white lacquer, balances all the brilliance. The heart-shaped minute hand, which moves around the dial, has a thin red heart-shaped tip that indicates the minutes on the hour scale. For better readability, which is very expensive for Breguet, the quarter digits differ in size and shape and are coated with cinnabar varnish. The hour is displayed in the center of the aperture with three digits.

The watch is equipped with a mechanical 78A0 self-winding calibre and provides a 40-hour power reserve. The back cover of the case is made of rose gold and sapphire crystal, offering a view of the mechanism. The gold rim is engraved with an individual watch number, recorded in the archives of the Breguet House, which have been stored since the end of the eighteenth century.
This magnificent work of art is presented in an envelope clutch, trimmed with grained calf leather and painted in bright red, which is combined with a strap Reine de Naples Coeur. The retail price of the novelty is 45,600 euros.
