The first ever wristwatch served as the inspiration for the creation of the iconic Reine de Naples women’s collection. In 1812, they were presented to the elegant Caroline Murat, Napoleon’s sister and Queen of Naples. The oblong shape of the original model is reinterpreted in the characteristic curves of the oval body. All the items from the modern collection, decorated with precious stones, hand guilloche or lacquer coating, embody an ode to femininity. Breguet’s latest creations are no exception: two new watch models are imbued with the same original style.
The flexible minute hand sliding across the dials of the two new models is admirable and intriguing. Representing a true engineering marvel, it changes shape depending on its position on the dial.

The patented and unparalleled mechanism was created within the walls of the Breguet Manufactory. The minute hand, which changes its length, consists of two separate parts that are connected at the upper end. Two details change the appearance of the arrow thanks to a well-thought-out gear mechanism. The hand smoothly adapts to the shape of the dial, becoming longer at 12 o’clock and becoming more rounded at 6 o’clock. The fascinating optical effect is made possible by the oval-shaped cam, reminiscent of the silhouette of the Reine de Naples watch collection. Each of the two parts of the arrow moves in its own rhythm. As you move around the dial, the hand changes its size, perfectly merging with the shape of the watch.
The white gold case elegantly contrasts with the deep blue mother-of-pearl dial, which shimmers in the light. The bezel, strap fastenings and ears are decorated with 161 diamonds. The crown is decorated with a briolet cut diamond, and the folding clasp is decorated with 28 diamonds. The time is indicated using a window in the center of the dial. Slightly offset from the center, the polished minute numbers are silver in color, made in a hand-painted font. This limited edition of 20 numbered pieces is offered with an alligator leather strap to match the dial.

The white lacquered dial forms a striking contrast with the deep blue alligator leather strap. The white gold case is decorated with blue sapphires on the bezel, strap fasteners and crown. The details of the dial seem to whirl in a dance: the offset Arabic numerals stretch and shorten, as does the trajectory of the minute hand.
