Breitling has released a watch collection together with Victoria Beckham

The Breitling watch brand is collaborating with the fashion house for the first time – Victoria Beckham, a former Spice Girl member and a well-recognized stylist and fashion designer, has teamed up with the legendary brand to release her first watch collection.

In early February, the Swiss brand Breitling released a limited edition collection of Chronomat Automatic 36 Victoria Beckham watches with Victoria Beckham.

The watch is designed in the current colors of the new Beckham spring-summer collection: mint, dark blue, gray, sand and is available in 2 versions: in a silver stainless steel case or in muted 18K yellow gold with a built-in matching bracelet. The diameter of the housings is 36 mm. The dial is available in blue or green by default, but you can also choose a silver dial for the steel-case model or a champagne-colored dial for the gold model. The main highlight of the dials is the counterweight on the second hand with Victoria Beckham’s initials – VB.

“This issue is significant not only for Beckham – the Breitling brand is celebrating its 140th anniversary this year, and the star collaboration is a kind of celebration of this event.”

The collection is based on models from the Chronomat line.

The watch was released in a limited edition of only 1,500 copies, with 400 steel versions and 100 gold versions for each model variation. By the way, in the gray variation of the watch, the hour markers on the dial are complemented by spectacular accents in the form of white diamonds, and this line is the only exception collection for which Breitling returned to such a material as yellow gold (it really has not been seen in the brand’s releases for quite some time).

Victoria’s signature can be found not only on the second hand, but her name is also engraved on the watch’s bracelet. In addition, the Breitling logo and the caption “One of 400” for steel or “One of 100” for gold are indicated on the dial of the models.

“I’m very attracted to the legacy and history of Breitling as a brand,” Beckham says in an interview. “First of all, I am very impressed by the fact that they have been around for over a century. This indicates a high quality, proven over decades. This has always been very important to me – I love investing in watches, so to speak. Therefore, I don’t need a watch that I will wear for many years and then pass on to my children.”

The watch has a Breitling 10 automatic manufacturing calibre, certified by COSC and with a 42-hour power reserve. Thanks to the water resistance up to 10 bar (100 meters), the watch is not afraid of moisture, and the convex sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating additionally protects the dial from shocks and damage. The crown with two additional pads provides even greater water resistance, and the unidirectional stainless steel bezel adds style to the watch. The indexes and hands on the dial are coated with a luminescent compound that improves their visibility in various lighting conditions.

“It was a completely new experience for me. When it comes to watch design, there are many more limitations than, for example, when designing a clothing collection,” says Beckham. “When you’re working with such a small and fragile thing, there are certain limits to what you can do. I didn’t expect this, but it was very interesting. I am very grateful to Breitling for this opportunity and the entire learning process. In my opinion, we did a great job of embodying everything we wanted in this model.”

 

The Victoria Beckham collection retains all the main characteristics that distinguish the much-loved Breitling Chronomat women’s line – the watch is functional and at the same time incredibly elegant and feminine. All watches come in special boxes, and a branded mini travel clutch is included with the gold models. The cost of the stainless steel versions starts from 5,600 US dollars (about 504,000 rubles) and goes up to 5,950 dollars (about 535,500 rubles) for a bluish-gray diamond dial. The yellow gold versions are priced at 29,500 US dollars (about 2,655,000 rubles).
