Hublot Big Bang Tourbillon Carbon Edition

Hublot is a brand that focuses on partnership and creative collaboration. These principles, along with their famous Art of fusion, have led to some of the most inventive, boundary-pushing examples of watch design in the last 20 years, all built on the incredibly powerful and versatile Big Bang platform.

The sculptural, aerodynamic version of the Hublot Big Bang watch by Samuel Ross is lighter than ever again. Artist and designer Samuel Ross is working with Hublot again. Over the 44 years of the brand’s existence, Hublot has traditionally collaborated with many contemporary artists such as Richard Orlinsky, Maxim-Plessia-Buchi, Murakami and Daniel Arsham.

In 2020, to celebrate the watch company’s 40th anniversary, the artist unveiled the sculpture REFORM, which inspired the creation of the Samuel Ross Big Bang Tourbillon, the first joint watchmaking project between Samuel Ross and Hublot. The second collaboration resulted in the orange and green versions of some of Hublot’s most daring watches. For the third time, Samuel Ross and the watch brand are launching a new chromatic variation of blue using new materials, in particular carbon fiber.

One of the main elements of the Samuel Ross x Hublot Big Bang Tourbillon watch has always been a very complex case, which is not just a shape, but also a complex architecture. Retaining its 44 mm diameter and 13.75 mm thickness, this watch has a strong visual presence, the feeling of which is enhanced by its unique shape. They have a honeycomb pattern around the perimeter, with hollow hexagonal elements inside the ears and on the sides. The sides of the case, as well as the intermediate plate under the bezel, are now made of matte gray carbon fiber. All other body elements have retained their titanium construction with a satin finish and shiny micro-jet surfaces.

The back cover offers a view of a honeycomb-shaped plate of the manufactured HUB6035 caliber. This automatic movement consists of 282 components and retains 72 hours of power reserve.

The watch is supplied with two rubber straps (black and blue), which can be changed thanks to the quick release system, with the same honeycomb motif as the case, with a titanium clasp. Hublot Big Bang Tourbillon Carbon Samuel Ross released in a limited edition of 50 copies. The retail price is 149,000 euros.
