The aesthetics of rainbow watches are not new in themselves, but Hublot is constantly finding new ways to create colored wristwatches, and as part of the brand’s releases in 2023, Hublot introduced two new Big Bang products with rainbow-encrusted gems and matching integrated bracelets. Hublot Big Bang Unico Integrated Rainbow and Big Bang Unico Time Only Rainbow is a very serious and unabashedly luxurious embodiment of aesthetics, the brightest rainbow from Hublot.

The Hublot Big Bang Unico Integrated Rainbow watch is made of polished satin King Gold, a unique alloy based on 18-carat red gold in very warm tones. The new watch is based on the design of the existing Big Bang Unico Integrated Rainbow models and has a case with a diameter of 42 mm and a thickness of 13.45 mm. The watch is recognizable by its angular case, built-in lugs, and branded bezel with six exposed screws.

Sapphire glasses are installed both on the side of the Big Bang Unico Integrated Rainbow dial and on the back cover of the case. The rubberized crown at the 3 o’clock position is surrounded by rectangular buttons for adjusting functions. The watch features the familiar Unico Manufacture MHUB1280 chronograph movement with automatic winding. The Unico MHUB1280, operating at a frequency of 28,800 half-vibrations per hour (4 Hz) with a power reserve of about 72 hours, supports the reverse function and features a unique skeletonized design in which the column wheel mechanism is visible through the watch face.

The second novelty is the Hublot Big Bang Unico Time Only Rainbow, based on the current Integrated Time Only catalog series. Time Only models use a simplified time and date format. The case of the new Big Bang Unico Time Only Rainbow has a diameter of 40 mm and a thickness of 9.25 mm, made of a patented alloy of 18-carat King Gold.

The case is complemented by built-in ears, water resistant to 100 meters, and the bezel with recognizable six open screws is encrusted with rainbow gems. The novelty is equipped with an automatic MHUB1710 mechanism, which operates at a frequency of 28,800 half-vibrations per hour (4 Hz) with a power reserve of approximately 50 hours. The caliber of the MHUB1710 is quite thin. The watch sits comfortably on your wrist.

Hublot has already produced many different rainbow gemstone watches, and has previously created Big Bang Integrated models using its patented King Gold alloy. However, this new duo marks the first time that the brand has paired one of its watches, encrusted with rainbow gems, with a matching bracelet, which is also trimmed with multicolored gems. Gems used in the inlay of watches: ruby, amethyst, blue topaz and tsavorite, as well as pink, orange, blue and yellow sapphires. Since each stone has its own unique color and shade, the Hublot team of craftsmen must carefully select and place each individual stone to create the aesthetics of the multi-colored gradients of the watch.

The Big Bang Unico Integrated Rainbow watch is decorated with 174 precious stones embedded in the case and bezel, as well as 768 additional stones in the bracelet. The Big Bang Unico Time Only Rainbow features 176 gems on the watch case itself, with 748 additional gems fixed in the links of the integrated bracelet. The previous rainbow watches were equipped with matching rainbow-colored leather straps.
