The Pilot’s Watch Chronograph 41 Edition “Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One™ Team” is the team’s first official watch created by IWC as part of this long–term partnership. IWC Schaffhausen has been the official technical development partner of the Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One™ Team since 2013. The Pilot’s Watch Chronograph 41 Edition “Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One Team” is the team’s first official watch developed by IWC. This 41mm Pilot’s chronograph is made of lightweight and extremely durable Grade 5 titanium.
 

Titanium has the highest strength-to-density ratio among all metals, which is why it is widely used in the automotive industry to produce parts that are subjected to heavy loads, such as engine valves. In addition, titanium is characterized by biocompatibility and high corrosion resistance. After mechanical and sandblasting, its surface acquires a pleasant grayish sheen. The original design is complemented by a black dial with printed and luminescent elements of the racing team’s signature green color. The 69385 caliber manufactured by IWC, the chronograph movement with a classic column wheel, numbering 231 parts, is visible through the sapphire glass back cover. The bi-directional automatic winding system with “pawls” supports a 46-hour power reserve. The chronograph is equipped with two different straps: a black embossed calfskin strap and a green rubber strap. Thanks to the integrated EasX-CHANGE® system, the straps can be quickly and easily replaced at the touch of a button, without the use of additional tools.
