Richard Mille RM 011 Red TPT Quartz Automatic Flyback Chronograph

In the name of the bright red Richard Mille watch, the words Quartz and Automatic stand in a row. But there is no reason to worry – RM is not going to use a quartz movement! The new Richard Mille RM 011 Red TPT Quartz Automatic Flyback Chronograph is a true (and very bold) model of fine watchmaking, with a real mechanical caliber, but in a carbon fiber case and layers of red quartz.

To create the Richard Mille RM 011 Red TPT Quartz case, it took a wide technological step. TPT Quartz technology is a combination of materials to create a case with an amazing black and white gradient and multiple layers. And now Richard Mille is able to apply colored resins to give the watch an even bolder design.

This unique black and red look is the result of layering (over 600 layers in total), alternating quartz and carbon fibers. Richard Mille engineers have developed a very original material known as TPT quartz, consisting of hundreds of layers of quartz fibers superimposed on each other. Quartz layers are inserted between layers of NTPT carbon in such a way that the fiber arrangement changes 45 degrees with each layer. Subsequent processing reveals randomly placed layers, creating a unique look for any model. After its first use in the RM 27-02 Tourbillon, Richard Mille has now added intense red resins to the Quartz watch, demonstrating a two-tone case where black carbon fibers alternate with bright red.

Regarding everything else, the Richard Mille RM 011 Red TPT Quartz is still the standard RM 011, which means there is an automatic chronograph with a countdown function, a large date indicator (working with two separate discs), a month indicator at the 4 o’clock position, and a power reserve. – a full-fledged 55 hours provided by a double-drum system powered by a variable geometry rotor, pallets and bridges made of Class 5 titanium (visible from the skeletonized dial). The case remained true to Richard Mille’s traditions: barrel-shaped with 12 screws. As a finishing touch, the red RM 011 model is complemented by a red rubber strap (which can always be replaced with a black one if there is an excess of red). The circulation of the Richard Mille RM 011 Red TPT Quartz model will be 50 units. Expected cost: 200,000 EUR.
