Rolex Daytona Mother-Of-Pearl

Rolex has pleased with two new versions of the Oyster Perpetual Cosmograph Daytona in 18k white gold. One with a white pearl dial with an Oysterflex bracelet and one with a black pearl dial with an Oyster bracelet. Both new items have a bezel encrusted with 36 round-cut diamonds.

The Rolex on the Oysterflex bracelet has a white mother-of-pearl dial with black mother-of-pearl chronograph counters. The color combination is reversed in the second watch, which has an Oyster bracelet and a black pearl dial with white pearl counters. The tachymeter scale has disappeared from the bezel: it has been replaced with diamonds, and the dial is encrusted with eight diamonds and three Chromalight hour markers, with a crown at 12 o’clock. The Rolex Glidelock is now on the Oysterflex bracelet; it has six recesses of about 2.5mm each, allowing you to easily adjust the length of the bracelet to about 15 mm.

Cosmograph Daytona is equipped with a 4131 automatic caliber (first released last year). The mechanism has bridges decorated with a Rolex Côtes de Genève pattern and an openwork rotor. The calibre 4131 allows you to measure time intervals using the chronograph function as standard, in addition to displaying hours, minutes and seconds. The power reserve is approximately 72 hours. A Rolex Daytona watch with mother-of-pearl dials and diamonds costs $70,100.
