The most significant innovation in the 7135 calibre is the Dynapulse movement, which has become a revolutionary alternative to the traditional Swiss anchor escapement. Thanks to this new highly efficient system, energy is consistently transferred by rolling rather than sliding. The drive wheel connected to the wind-up drum drives two gears of an unusual design, and these, in turn, drive an impulse lever that supports the oscillatory movements of the balance wheel. Consisting mainly of silicon parts and featuring an innovative architecture, the Dynapulse stroke weighs very little, is virtually immune to magnetic fields, and has an energy efficiency far superior to that of classic escapements.

A completely new development of the watch brand, the Settimo bracelet made of miniature links is the first metal bracelet created for watches in 1908. Its carefully thought-out design and fully polished and slightly convex refined links create a rich play of highlights and reflections. The bracelet has an innovative attachment system to the case, inconspicuous, compact and reliable, for which a patent application has been filed.

The Settimo bracelet is equipped with an invisible Crownclasp clasp and features a harmonious design reminiscent of antique watch jewelry bracelets. Keeping true to the original spirit of the 1908 model, he pays tribute to the traditions of watchmaking.

On the red ombre dial, the play of chiaroscuro is represented by a subtle transition from the fiery center to the dark edges, symbolizing the night. The artistic effect is enhanced by the brilliance of the diamonds on the bezel and dial.

Our first red ombre dial using PVD technology

For the first time, Rolex offers an ombre red dial made using PVD technology (Physical Vapor Deposition): getting such a complex shade using this method is not an easy task. Decorated with ten diamonds as hour markers, the new sun‑iridescent dial elegantly complements the watch’s 18-carat yellow gold case.

Thanks to the experience of watchmakers and the know‑how of gemstone cutters, the collection is replenished with a dial of unusual color that vibrates subtly in daylight and at dusk.
