Ulysse Nardin Freak X Gumball 3000 Edition 2

Limited edition novelty in honor of the annual Gumball 3000 rally.

Ulysse Nardin has introduced a new product dedicated to the Gumball 3000 rally. In 2026, the race, which has been held since 1999, will take place along the route from Miami to Mexico City with the participation of 100 cars.

This is the second Ulysse Nardin watch in honor of the Gumball 3000 (the first model was released in 2024) and a new interpretation of the Freak X model with an emphasis on improved readability and a more expressive visual.

The watch is presented in a 43-millimeter titanium case with DLC coating, which, despite the massiveness of the novelty, gives it lightness and comfort to wear. There is a sapphire crystal on both sides of the case. The back cover is partially made of DLC-coated titanium.

The highlight of the case is the orange side plate on which the watch’s serial number is engraved. Plus, unlike earlier Freak models, the models from the Freak X series are equipped with a traditional crown for winding and setting the time. The water resistance of the case is 50 meters.

As in other Freak X models, the time here is shown by the open clock mechanism. Instead of a clock hand, a clock dial is used, and a rotating carousel serves as a minute indicator. The watch dial is made of carbonium, which is a composite of carbon fibers impregnated with an orange epoxy resin.

For the first time in the Freak X series, the minute wheel is framed by an orange ring with Super-LumiNova illumination. The hour indexes are treated with Super-LumiNova white phosphor to improve readability.

Inside the watch is a manufactured UN-230 caliber, an automatic movement designed specifically for Freak X models.

The distinctive features of the mechanism are a “floating” carousel without an upper bridge and silicon elements: an enlarged balance wheel, a descent wheel, an anchor and a spiral. The mechanism operates at a frequency of 21600 pcs / hour, and provides a power reserve of 72 hours.

The watch is offered to be worn on a black rubber strap with orange inserts. The strap is equipped with a folding clasp made of DLC-coated titanium.

The issue is limited to 150 copies. The estimated cost of the model is €41,000 (with VAT) or $46,400 (without VAT).
