In 2021, Patek Philippe introduced the Perpetual Calendar 5236P, a watch that stood out for its patented dial, providing exceptional readability. The latest version retains the essence of its predecessor, while showcasing a stunning salmon-colored dial.
The Patek Philippe Perpetual Calendar 5236P-010 is encased in a 950 platinum case with a diameter of 41.3 mm, a height of 11.07 mm and a water resistance of 30 m. Their polished finish exudes elegance, and a small diamond at the 6 o’clock mark on the side of the case adds a touch of sophistication, marking the Patek Philippe platinum watch. On the side, next to the 2 o’clock index, there is a month and year correction button, while the date, day of the week, and moon phase correction buttons are integrated on the opposite side. The crown is used exclusively for manual winding of the mechanism and time setting, providing some functional simplicity.
Salmon or vintage opal pink-gilt, according to Patek Philippe— the dial of the Perpetual Calendar 5236P-010 is decorated with faceted hour indexes in the form of sticks of charcoal-gray white gold, and the built-in perpetual calendar displays the day, date and month in the aperture located above the center, topped with the iconic Patek Philippe logo. A clearly detailed minute railway with figures with an interval of 5 minutes is a classic touch of the model. The time is indicated by white gold arrows in harmony with the indexes. The moon phase indicator is located on the additional second dial at 6 o’clock, next to a small round hole indicating the leap year cycle on the right, while its counterpart indicates the day/night cycle located opposite, completing the complex and functional design of the dial.
The heart of the 5236P-010 is the 31-260 PS QL automatic Calibre, which operates at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour and provides a power reserve of 38 to 48 hours. Automatic winding is carried out by a unidirectional mini-rotor made of platinum offset from the center. Thanks to the patented QP module, this mechanism consists of 503 parts. Fans will appreciate the opportunity to admire the elegantly finished Caliber, marked with the Patek Philippe stamp, through the sapphire glass back cover. The caliber is decorated with pearl, Geneva stripes and gold engraving.
While the standard back cover is transparent, Patek Philippe also offers a replaceable solid platinum back cover for owners who would prefer a more traditional look. Patek Philippe 5236P Perpetual Calendar with a salmon-colored dial is equipped with a chocolate-brown alligator leather strap with square scales. It is attached to the wrist with a platinum folding clasp. 5236P-010 is included in the permanent collection, and its price is 120,000 Swiss francs.
