Rolex GMT-Master II with grey and black ceramic bezel

Rolex presents the new Oyster Perpetual GMT-Master II 126710GRNR watch with a 24-hour graduated two-tone Cerachrom bezel in gray-black ceramic. The model is available in two versions: the first version is equipped with an Oyster bracelet, and the second with a Jubilee bracelet.

Thanks to the traditional hour, minute, and second hands, the triangular-tipped 24-hour hand, and the bi-directional rotating bezel with a 24-hour graduated Cerachrom bezel, the GMT-Master II can display time in two time zones simultaneously: either local time and countdown time, or local time and alternate time zone time. The date is synchronized with the local time.

In the new versions of GMT-Master II, the dual-direction rotating bezel features a two-tone 24-hour graduated Cerachrom insert made of gray-black ceramic. Molded in-depth graduations and numerals are platinum plated with PVD. The bezel can also be easily rotated due to its fluted edge.

The black lacquered dial has the inscription “GMT-Master II” in green, echoing the color of the 24-hour hand with a triangular tip. The Oyster case with a diameter of 40 mm of the GMT-Master II watch is waterproof at a depth of up to 100 meters. The middle body of these new versions is made of a single piece of Oystersteel steel. The back cover, finished with fine fluting, is hermetically screwed with a special tool that allows only Rolex watchmakers to access the mechanism.

The Triplock crown, equipped with a triple waterproof system and protected by a built-in fuse, is securely screwed onto the case. The glass, equipped with a Cyclops lens at 3 o’clock for easy date reading, is made of virtually scratch-free sapphire and has an anti-reflective coating. The GMT-Master II is equipped with the 3285 Caliber, a movement fully designed and manufactured by Rolex, which was released in 2018 and introduced on the model of the same year.

Operating at a frequency of 4 Hz (28,800 vibrations per hour), the Calibre 3285 is equipped with a Perpetual rotor self-winding system, which guarantees a power reserve of 70 hours. Chronergy’s patented escapement is made of nickel-phosphorus to increase resistance to magnetic fields. The blue Parachrom spiral, made by Rolex from a paramagnetic alloy, provides greater stability with temperature changes, as well as higher impact resistance. It is equipped with a Rolex spiral, which ensures the uniformity of the Caliber stroke in any position. The oscillator is mounted on the patented high-performance Paraflex shock absorbers developed by Rolex, which increase the impact resistance of the mechanism.

Like all Rolex watches, the Oyster Perpetual GMT-Master II is certified by Superlative Chronometer, which guarantees accuracy within -2/+2 seconds per day. GMT-Master II made of Oystersteel steel with a gray-black Cerachrom bezel is equipped with either an Oyster bracelet or a Jubilee bracelet. Designed in the late 1930s, the Oyster Bracelet is a three-link metal bracelet known for its durability.

It remains the most versatile bracelet in the Oyster Perpetual collection. The Jubilee bracelet is a flexible and comfortable five-link metal bracelet; it was specially created for Oyster Perpetual Datejust, released in 1945. Both the Oyster bracelet and the Jubilee bracelet of the GMT-Master II watch are equipped with an Oysterlock folding clasp that prevents accidental unbuttoning. They are also equipped with a convenient Easylink extension link, which allows the wearer to easily adjust the length of the bracelet by about 5 mm. The new Rolex Oyster Perpetual GMT-Master II 126710 GRNR costs 11,000 euros with an Oyster bracelet or 11,200 euros with a Jubilee bracelet.
