Rolex GMT-Master II

The new 2023 Rolex GMT-Master II 126713GRNR and 126718GRNR are technically the same watches as before, only with a new combination of colors and materials. All features are identical to the Pepsi and Batman models: 40 x 11.9 mm case, sapphire crystal with cyclops, screw-down crown and back cover, as well as water resistance up to 100 m. The watch is equipped with a modern 3285 caliber with a Chronergy trigger, a power reserve of 70 hours and a frequency of 4 Hz. And this, of course, is a real travel clock with GMT. The watch is available on a Jubilee branded bracelet with a folding clasp and a comfortable Easylink extension link.

In 2023, yellow gold returned to the GMT-Master II collection, a material that had been missing from the model’s lineup for several years. It comes back in two versions: a yellow gold Rolesor case (126713GRNR) combined with stainless steel (gold is used for the bezel, crown and middle links of the bracelet), or solid 18-carat gold (126718GRNR). The dial is glossy black, with overlaid markers and hands in yellow gold, all covered with Chromalight phosphor.

Another new element for the yellow gold Rolesor and Rolex GMT-Master II models, which explains the GRNR reference, is the bezel insert. Like all watches in the collection, it has a two-tone insert, which is now made in gray and black (GRis-NOir). The 24-hour scale is engraved as usual and covered with a yellow gold PVD coating. The bidirectional bezel allows you to display a third time zone in addition to the GMT 24-hour hand.

Only certified Rolex watchmakers have access to the mechanism, which they use a special tool to hermetically screw the back cover, which is finished with a thin groove. The Triplock crown is protected by a triple seal system and a crown guard that is permanently attached to the body. The glass is made of scratch-resistant sapphire and has an anti-reflective coating that makes it easy to read the date through the Cyclops lens positioned at 3 o’clock. The Oyster case is waterproof, which ensures maximum safety.

Newer versions of the GMT-Master II use the 3285 caliber, a Rolex movement that debuted in 2018 and was first installed on the model the same year. This automatic winding mechanism is characterized by exceptional accuracy, power reserve, ease of use and reliability. This is a technological masterpiece.
