Ulysse Nardin and The Ocean Race are watching their joint project being implemented in the OCEAN RACE DIVER model, which will become the official timekeeper of the open sea sailing race, which is scheduled to start on January 15, 2023 in Alicante, Spain. By creating this sophisticated and environmentally friendly watch creation, the two partners commit themselves to protecting the ocean and starting the countdown to achieving positive results by 2030.

Ulysse Nardin and The Ocean Race bring their shared commitments to life with THE OCEAN RACE DIVER watch, which will become the official timekeeper of the open water sailing regatta. This collaboration, with the common goal of preserving the marine ecosystem, represents a new, sophisticated, eco-friendly product that should serve as the beginning to achieve its goals by 2030.

The iconic double X is still on the dial with a semi-matte semi-satin finish. The bezel trim is made of carbon fiber. Green strokes symbolizing nature are present on the entire product: the dial, the bezel, the crown guard and the strap stitching made of recycled PET plastic.

Our way to draw people’s attention to this issue is to reuse materials. In this project, the search for suppliers was a key factor.
